Continuous discovery is the practice of conducting user research regularly throughout the product development process, not in isolated rounds tied to major milestones, but as an ongoing practice that keeps product decisions continuously informed by user insight.
The concept was popularized by Teresa Torres, who advocates for product teams having at least one touchpoint per week with users. The principle: teams that ship the best products aren't the ones that did the most research before building, they're the ones that maintained a constant connection to user reality throughout the entire development process.
